About Color Tree Event
I've been doing this for almost 30 years now — styling and designing the biggest days in people's lives, all across Los Angeles and Orange County, out of our studio in Buena Park.
My Story
I got into this field as a student, actually — I took an event styling job on the side just to make some money. That one job turned into something real: I spent years working at a wedding specialty company in Jeju Island, learning the craft the proper way. Later I moved to the U.S. and worked as the general manager at a well-known shop for years, before finally starting Color Tree Event on my own in May of 2012. There were hard days along the way — more than I can count, honestly. But there were a lot more good ones, the kind where you watch a family's whole day come together exactly the way they'd been picturing it for months. I raised my daughter through all of this too, and looking back, I'm proud of how both turned out.
What We Can Do
We'll style a small first dol for ten people just as carefully as we'll run a corporate event for three hundred. Size was never really the point for me — every family deserves their day to look and feel right, whatever the guest count is. And on the other end, no event is too big for us to handle start to finish, from the first phone call to breaking everything down at the end of the night.
Our Wedding Specialty
Weddings are where I go all in. I don't just style them — I alter and fit the gowns myself, in-house. The florals, the balloon work, the event sets — we build all of it ourselves. Nothing outsourced, nothing off a catalog.
Color Tree Event also runs a bridal & studio side of the business — wedding gown rental with in-house fitting, hanbok and tuxedo rental, venue rental, family photography, and flower design classes — operating alongside Ivy Studio at the same Buena Park location.
